It is really easy to convince a team of people to help you to accomplish your vision if you’re being honest and you know that your vision-it is, uh, good for making a better world. For example, for me-but like, I just wanted to do a game about it a-my alcoholic father. So, when other kids get to play and they’re in a difficult situation with abusive relationships they can play Papo & Yo and learn from it. So, when you have a message that is good for society and good-to make a better world people follow you easily. It’s more difficult when you have a marketing brief about, “Okay, let’s make a game about the war in Iraq.” And then to convince people to put their heart and soul into a commercial product that is exploiting violence-that’s really hard.
