Monkey Island was really about the world. That’s where all that started for me is, is I wanted to make a game that gave me that same feeling of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. So, that started with the world, you know. And then, you know, the character of Guy Brush kind of came after that. Then the story was really the, the third step that came with that. And then the puzzles were, were kind of the fourth, you know, the fourth step on that. And then I think that’s fairly accurate for me for adventure games. It’s like they do, they do start with a narrative in some fashion whether it’s the world or the story or the lead character. It starts with the narrative. Then I will layer the puzzles onto that narrative as the narrative is really expanding, you know, to, to be that thing that drives the narrative forward.
