How you play a slot machine, you know, it's generally a experience of failure, failure, failure, failure, failure, and then when you notice when there's failure in a slot machine, there's no feedback at all almost. Like they don't, you don't, there's no music, there's no noise, it just kind of n- A null happens. You know, say it was, one- you get one, one penny each time you play. Um, if it was a penny each time you played, slot machines would be completely uncompelling. But because it's failure, failure, failure, failure, a dollar, that's very powerful. Because people want, they want that kind of excitement, that reinforcement, that unpredictability. And that, but that's, you know, that goes back to something, that goes back to something that we are very primal, is that we're, we're searching for that jackpot in a lot of ways, and we're searching for this, this thing that presses those buttons in our head, and you know, boy you'd have to be a smarter guy than I am to know evolutionarily, you know, where that comes from. All we can do as game developers is try to tap into that hardware. Um, and I think there are some designers who say that say, it's a degenerate method to entertain people. I'm not one of those designers.
